On this page: the Hoffman modern bedroom, a range of neat contemporary pieces shown in the gallery below. Beyond the Douglas bed, it includes armchairs, sideboards, side tables and a daybed. Three current Italian pieces above show how a bed and nightstand from one family can anchor the room.
Seating and sideboards in the Hoffman photographs
Hoffman treats the bedroom as a place to sit as well as sleep. Beside the Douglas bed and the Billy and Roger nightstands, the gallery shows the Lawrence and Ralph armchairs, the Thomas chaise longue and daybed, and the Keith, Kate and Diana sideboards.
Bed and nightstand from one family
The Settanta Bed by Dall'Agnese, designed by Imago, has a shell upholstered in Vintage or Vintage intreccio similar leather and a frame of shaped, veneered solid ash. Its headboard cushions are polyurethane foam covered in bonded fabric. The Settanta Nightstand by Dall'Agnese is curved plywood, with feet built into its side panels, and measures H 48.5 x W 56 x D 42.5 cm.
Choosing both from one design keeps lines and veneers consistent. More elegant bedroom furniture can be found on the bedroom page.
Plinth or legs for the chest
The Musa Chest of Drawers by Francesco Pasi sits on a plinth, with plinth and feet in solid ash. Its drawer fronts are 25 mm ash blockboard, lacquered in finishes from White Ash to Ash Grey. Other italian contemporary bedroom furniture is on the modern page.
